As temps rise, we wanted to give you a peek behind the scenes and share exactly what we’re doing to fight the heat — and what you can do if your slime arrives feeling a little off.

🔥 How Heat Affects Slime in Transit

Slime is sensitive (it’s part of its charm!) and warm weather can cause a few changes during shipping, including:

• Stickiness or melting
• Puffy or expanded containers (from trapped air expanding inside the jar)
• Layer separation or slight changes in texture
• Stronger-than-usual scent when you first open it

Don’t worry — these changes are temporary, and we’ve got you covered.

🧪 What We’re Doing to Help

We’re not just sitting back and letting the sun have its way. Here’s how we’re actively fighting the heat this summer:

1. Over-Activating Our Slimes

To get ahead of the summer stickiness, we’re sending our slimes out just a bit more activated than usual. That means they may feel firmer when they arrive — but that’s on purpose! As they warm up in transit, they’ll usually soften to just the right consistency.

If yours still feels a bit stiff, give it a few minutes of playtime — or let it sit in a warm room for a while to loosen up.

2. Switching to White Bubble Mailers

This year, we’re switching from our standard black mailers to white ones for summer orders. Why? Science! 🌡️
Dark colors like black absorb more heat, while white reflects sunlight and helps keep the package cooler. It’s a small change with a big impact on how your slime travels.

🧯 What You Can Do

Here are a few tips to keep your slime happy when it arrives:

• Let it cool before opening – If the jar feels warm, give it a chance to return to room temp first.
• Got puffiness? – Carefully open the lid to release the pressure, then wait before removing the slime to avoid overflow.
• Sticky? – We include a spray bottle of activator with every order. Just spritz, stretch, and repeat until you reach your perfect texture.
• Still a bit weird? – Pop it in the fridge for 15–30 minutes and give it a good mix!
